How can you dispose of old medication?


​Old or unneeded medication can be disposed of in a few ways. An easy option is to order a free envelope to mail your medicines in.

​Depending on your location, you can also take the medication to a drop-off bin at your local pharmacy or sheriff station in their original container or a sealed bag. Not every city or pharmacy will offer this.

​Liquids, pills, capsules, creams, and ointments in original container or sealed bag

Eye drops are acceptable. If empty, recycle the bottle.


​Contact lenses can be put in recycling bins
